Our History
A few key milestones in our history:
May 2004: Soon after Jennie's tragic death, the desire and vision to see her inspiring life's work and passions continue is born
Nov 2004: Friends and family meet to discuss what the vision should be and together confirm the committment to see a charity in Jennie's name formed and grown, inspired by her passions
February 2005: The vision is agreed, the memorandum and articles for a company written, and the limited liability company is incorporated in England & Wales - we are for real!
April 2005: On the anniversary of Jennie's death we hold the first Board meeting of the Trustees - a fitting tribute to the next phase of Jennie's inspiration
August 2005: The charity is officially recognised as we receive Charity status, as a registered UK charity (No. 1110796)
September 2005: A pre-screening of blockbuster Pride & Prejudice, followed shortly by the inaugrual JMT touch rugby competition mark the first formal fundraising events for JMT.
December 2006: The year finishes with over £30k of funding given to now over 15 projects
May 2007: JMT's new website goes live!
