Charity work 'Jeans' day for JMT

Organised by the Bain Cares team, who run and organise all of Bain & Company's charitable activities and involvement with the community, the London office has regular 'Jeans' charity days where employees donate £1 minimum for wearing their jeans to work on a Friday. In addition, there are often events like cake sales or other fundraisers to help raise as much money as possible for the selected charity.

On Friday 5th September, JMT was selected as the charity and the money raised through Jeans and through a very successful cake sale was donated to JMT and in particular support of our two projects working with disadvantaged children in South Africa (Thembalethu in Johannesburg and Arise in Cape Town). Bain employees have had interaction with both projects over the last few years, as a result of a significant number of people from London working in South Africa for Bain, and links established locally with these projects. Previously, in Johannesburg Bain teams have helped take the homeless boys for a day out ice-skating, whilst in Cape Town, a Bain team was involved in helping write a funding proposal for Arise. So, there's been a real connection for quite a few of the people working there.

The fundraising day was a big success, raising almost £300, and a massive thanks to Sarah Holmes, Janine Knight and Vic Squire in particular for organising it, and for all you made and bought cakes and were involved.
